Care Package Packing Day, April 2018
We were blessed to have a beautiful day for packing 60 boxes to ship to overseas troops and USOs. We were so fortunate to have Central's Girl Scout Troop 10490 helping us out along with their moms and grandmothers as well as volunteers from St. Isidore Catholic Church.

Gold Star Mothers Day Tea
We held our annual Gold Star Mother’s Day Tea on Sunday, September 24th at The English Tea Room in Covington. It was an honor and a privilege to host these mothers. No words can convey the respect and gratitude we have for them and their children. Seven Gold Star Mothers were able to attend.

Memorial Day Ceremony 2015
Our Geaux 7 members hosted the City of Central's ceremony. Great turnout, beautiful honoring service for our Fallen Heroes. So happy to have our Mayor Shelton as our Master of Ceremonies, Councilman & Veteran Jason Ellis, Tanya Whitley, Woman Veteran of La. and Joseph Furr, CHS Student and Army Kid as our Guest Speakers. The Baton Rouge Pipes & Drums performed along with Robert Williston, our Blue Star Dad, and the Central Vets and La. National Guard presenting colors.

Each year, since 1936, on the last Sunday of September our United States President calls on all Americans to display our nation's flag and hold appropriate meetings to publicly express their love, sorrow, and reverence towards Gold Star Mothers and their families.
As fellow Americans we lend our strength to these families who have given so much for our country. Today, we remember all of you, our Gold Star Mothers. We honor your courage and your perseverance and the memory of your children |
